Introducing Filip Krawczy - Support & Social Media
Who are you (name, age, where you come from)
I'm Filip Krawczyk, just over 40, originally from Poznan in Poland, now residing in Edinburgh, Scotland.
What is your background?
I have a background in marketing and management, with a keen interest in digital marketing and content creation, particularly in video content.
Why did you want to get involved in this challenge?
I was drawn to this challenge to raise awareness of MND and use my marketing and content creation expertise to reach a wider audience.
How long have you been cycling?
Although I'm primarily a kitesurfer, I started cycling at 4 and have enjoyed it ever since.
What do you think will be the most challenging aspect of the trip?
The most challenging aspect will likely be managing the Media RV, capturing and conveying the raw emotions of the exhausted cyclists in potentially harsh weather conditions.
How important is it that we keep Doddie's memory alive?
Keeping Doddie's memory alive is crucial, as it helps maintain public awareness about diseases like MND, which might otherwise be overlooked unless they affect someone close to us.
How important is it that we continue to raise funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation?
It's vital to continue raising funds for MND and The Doddie Weir Foundation, especially considering the limited government support. These funds are essential for advancing clinical drug development for MND patients.
What has been the most inspirational aspect of this challenge so far for you?
The most inspirational aspect for me has been visiting the research lab, witnessing the progress made, and seeing how effectively the funds are utilised.
What, ultimately, do you want to come out of this?
Ultimately, I aim to significantly increase the awareness of MND among a broader segment of the population.
